    The Kalida Community has a long tradition of supporting major capital improvements to make our community a better place to live.  Some of these have been the development of the Kalida Medical Arts facility, St. Michael gymnasium, Country Acres Golf Course and more recently, Kalida Schools New Building project and Enhancement Fund. Recognizing a need for additional park facilities, the Kalida Athletic Boosters, Kalida Lions and the Village of Kalida have recently joined together to begin the process of developing a new community park.
 
 
We would like to have the input of the community.

If you would like to support this worthwhile community project with a monetary donation the Kalida Athletic Boosters are an IRS qualified 501(c)(3).  Tax deductable contributions can be made out to the "Kalida Athletic Boosters New Park Fund" and mailed to P.O. Box 566, Kalida, Ohio 45853.
KALIDA PARK UPDATES
NEW….looking for a gift for the person that has everything???  Maybe that hard to buy for parent or grandparent. Or, perhaps a memorial in memory of a loved one. The New Kalida Park committee has compiled a list of items , such as picnic tables, benches, trees, bushes, etc. that you might want to consider purchasing and donating to the New Park in the name of a parent ,grandparent or loved one. This list, including photos, can be found online at Donations/Gifting or call Brenda Warnecke at 419-532-2063  for more information. All items will be acknowledged, with a donor plaque, which will be located on, or next to each item, when placed in the park.
 
Other items:
  • SCRAP STEEL will continue to be collected to benefit new park………..over $4000 raised , so far!
  • ALUMINUM CANS AND SCRAP ALUMINUM are now being collected, as well……..trailer located at Town Maintenance facility on St. Rt. 114 west, next to scrap steel container.
  • Please save all your SCRAP COPPER to benefit the new park , as well. Sometime in the spring, we will announce one or two days to bring your copper in.
  • FIELD STONES are still needed to build a Pavilion shelter house facility in 2010. Call Kent Kahle at 419-796-9192  if you have any to donate. (Softball to basketball size…over 1000 needed).
  • HARD DEMO MATERIALS are still needed, such as brick, block and pavement grindings. Call Luke Hermiller at 419-532-2276 if you know of any of these materials that would be available.

To show our appreciation to our cutomers and the Kalida community for two great years in Kalida, The Pizzeria is offering our Fund-raiser Savings Card to the Kalida community!  This card contains over $53 in savings and can be used at any Pizzeria location.  That’s NOT ALL!!  The Pizzeria will donate the entire purchase price of each card ($10) to the new Kalida Park.
